2002 honda accord transmission seals?
Not sure which seal is leaking but there is leaking from the shift cable housing, we think its going to be the torque converter seal my buddy wants about 250 dollars to remove the transmission find the bad seal and replace it, is this a fair price? He told me to call few mechanics and let him know if i can find someone who will do it for cheaper.
250 isn’t a bad price to do the job since transmission removal is necessary. The job calls for anywhere from 5-8 hours book time depending on the experience of the one doing the job. Be sure the front pump seal isn’t the seal that’s leaking and be sure that the bearing doesn’t have excessive play which may have caused the seal to leak. Good luck and hope this helps.
