Had Burglary in the House?
Hi ,
I had a burglary in my flat last night when I was at work , there were no signs of breakage or any forced entry. I have reported it to Police and they came in and took my statement.
I only have Building insurance , it doesn’t cover me for the contents , where as loads of my expensive things are gone which includes my diamond ring & some other gold jewellery my mountain bike ,Camera , DVD player & some other stuff.
Can you please guide me if there is any place where I can claim these expenses.
any guidance would be appreciated , I am so stressed at this point .

That is why you have contents insurance, for times like this. Why would a company or persons allow you to claim for these out of pocket expenses.
Bit like closing the door after the horse has bolted.
The only chance of getting any type of claim is a civil claim against the offender (if caught). However they will be flat broke and you still won;t get any money out of them.
