Using the correct mountain biking equipment
So you have just gone out a bought a brilliant, nice looking, expensive mountain bike or you currently own one of that description. So you of course have the obvious things on the list, helmet, pads, water and if need be energy drink.? Safety as you are aware is very important when it comes to mountain biking so is there something you could have forgotten to get?
The first one is the obvious one and that is that they protect you from the sun. After this are the reasons that you would not perhaps think of. They are also useful for proecting you against flying debris. If the glasses are shatterproof you are then protected as they cannot break inwards into your eyes. This will also protect you from any debris that may come up and hit you in your eyes.
By no means do you have to get designer sunglasses If you are thinking of riding at either dawn or dusk then use yelllow lens to further protect the eyes
So although Ray bans are not really essential for your cycling needs the real question is what happens when you already where prescription glasses? The solution comes in the form of being able to clip on your glasses, enabling you to still see past your feet whilst still being protected from the sun and any dangers.
So although Ray ban wayfarer may not be on the top of your agenda when you get up on your bike, your personal safety needs to be. So get yourself some decent sunglasses just to make sure you have done everything you can to prevent any unfortunate accidents from occurring. Sunglasses dont seem like a serious safety care but they could save your eyes if something was to hit your bike and fly up into them.
All in all just make sure you take care when you are out cycling.
